Shy Pilot are a four piece alt rock band from Bristol/Exeter, channeling a range of different influences across the indie/alt/post-rock spectrum. Pop hooks with introspective lyrics over gritty shoegaze-inspired waves, borrowing bittersweet tones and textures reminiscent of bands like Jimmy Eat World, Biffy Clyro, DIIV, Sonic Youth, and Amusement Parks on Fire.

Starting out in late 2024, they released their first two singles 'Stop Start' and 'Glow/Fade', followed later in 2025 by two follow up singles 'Trace' and 'Needle'. The band have been playing shows in and around the Bristol and Exeter scene at well-known venues such as The Louisiana, Exchange Basement, Moor Brewery, Exeter Phoenix and Bomba (Exeter), and recently The Beehive in London.

The band go back in to the studio in October this year to record the first half of their first EP, and are keen to make a splash back in to the Bristol scene with two new singles to follow.
